One-Day Pottery Workshop: Sgraffito & Mishima Underglaze Techniques

Join Rebecca at ABAM, for a 1-day workshop to create your own pottery!
In this 2-day workshop, students (ages 12+) will create simple slab forms like bowls and shallow dishes before coating them with underglaze while in the greenware state. Sgraffito is a technique where layers of glaze are used and then scratched through to reveal the lower layers of color. Mishima is the process of filling the color into the grooves.
This is a one-day workshop since the glaze is applied to wet clay.
No prior clay experience necessary.
Ticket Cost: $60, materials and supplies (clay, glazing, pottery tools, & decorative tools) included.
