SUMMARY:Two-Day Pottery Workshop: Horse Hair Raku (day 1)
DESCRIPTION:Join artist/potter\, Tim Bullard for a 2-day Horse Hair Raku Workshop Sunday\, 5/26 & 6/3 from 1pm-3pm!\n\n\nThis workshop will occur on two days\, one week apart: \n– Sunday\, May 26th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm\, and \n– Sunday\, June 2nd from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. \nIn this three day workshop\, students will create clay pieces the first class (5/26) and RAKU fire 🔥 on 2nd class (6/2). \nIn the first day of this workshop\, participants will create hand built and/or wheel thrown vases (2 or 3). Then\, the pieces will be coated with slip (terra stig) and burnished. At the end of day one\, Tim will take the pieces with him to be bisque fired and bring them back to the store. The second and final day\, participants will Raku fire the pieces to take home at the end of this second day. \nThis workshop is for beginners to advanced hand building and/or wheel throwing experience. \nThe cost of this workshop is $90\, which includes class time and materials. \nClick here to purchase tickets \nInstructor : Tim Bullard \nBio : Tim Bullard has been an artist/potter in North Florida for over 35 years. Her previous career was as an art director in New York City. She has been working in watercolors for years. As a member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society\, Roseann has won many awards. \nRoseann was most recently the Artist in Residence for the Arts in Medicine Program at U F Health (Shands) Hospital in Jacksonville. Previously Roseann was the Art Teacher for grades K-12 at Mainspring Academy\, and Collage School in Ponte Vedra\, both schools for students with autism and special needs. She also teaches watercolor through community education at Fletcher High School. Roseann has also demonstrated at the Cummer Museum in Jacksonville\, and has been a recipient of the Jacksonville Community Foundation Grant for Individual Artists. Her work has appeared on the cover of New Smyrna Magazine. DESCRIPTION:Join Chelsea at ABAM for a 2-day Chicken Pottery Workshop on Friday\, 5/3 & 5/24!\n\n\nIn this workshop students will create decorative hand-built pieces using the various methods. \nThis workshop occurs on two days\, two weeks apart: \n\nFriday\, May 3rd from 10am-12pm &\nFriday\, May 24th from 10am-12pm\n\nIn DAY ONE of the workshop\, students will make up to 2 chickens with instructor assistance\, as needed.
