As a member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society\, Roseann has won many awards. \nRoseann was most recently the Artist in Residence for the Arts in Medicine Program at U F Health (Shands) Hospital in Jacksonville. Previously Roseann was the Art Teacher for grades K-12 at Mainspring Academy\, and Collage School in Ponte Vedra\, both schools for students with autism and special needs. She also teaches watercolor through community education at Fletcher High School. Roseann has also demonstrated at the Cummer Museum in Jacksonville\, and has been a recipient of the Jacksonville Community Foundation Grant for Individual Artists. Her work has appeared on the cover of New Smyrna Magazine. Students will roll coils and then “score and slip” to attach them together to create their own unique pieces! Following the demonstration of techniques\, the instructor will float to provide individual help for whom and where needed. She has been designing and creating hand made jewelry for over twenty years. Throughout this time\, she has been selected to several juried shows and is an active member of numerous artist cooperatives. \nJana’s versatility is reflected in a variety of techniques and methods used in her jewelry making process. These include lost wax casting\, soldering\, precious metal clay\, chain mail\, and wire wrapping/weaving. Though sterling and fine silver are Jana’s primary metals of choice\, she also works with cooper and gold. Gemstones and glass cabochons are often featured in many of her pieces. \nJana’s extensive teaching experiences includes serving as a music department instructor at universities\, as well as teaching jewelry at artist cooperatives and charitable organizations prior to arriving in Jacksonville\, FL in 2017. Currently\, she is a faculty member of the OLLI program at the University of North Florida.

Coils can be twisted\, braided\, stamped\, exposed\, or smoothed to build an organic vessel with emphasis on form\, shape\, space\, and texture. Coil building began with the Anasazi in North America and continues as a strong tradition with Native Americans today. Students will roll coils and then “score and slip” to attach them together to create their own unique pieces! Her previous career was as an art director in New York City. She has been working in watercolors for years. As a member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society\, Roseann has won many awards. \nRoseann was most recently the Artist in Residence for the Arts in Medicine Program at U F Health (Shands) Hospital in Jacksonville. Previously Roseann was the Art Teacher for grades K-12 at Mainspring Academy\, and Collage School in Ponte Vedra\, both schools for students with autism and special needs. She also teaches watercolor through community education at Fletcher High School. Roseann has also demonstrated at the Cummer Museum in Jacksonville\, and has been a recipient of the Jacksonville Community Foundation Grant for Individual Artists. Her work has appeared on the cover of New Smyrna Magazine. DESCRIPTION:Join Hammer & Stain at Atlantic Beach Arts Market on Sunday\, February 27th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm for a DIY workshop as we help you design and create your own unique home address sign! \n\n\nWe know everyone’s taste is different so we are giving you different size options for this class. \nSign Size – choose from ours sizes listed. \n\n\n\n12″ x 1″ x 6″\, $60\n24″ x 1″ x 6″\, $80\n12″ x 1″ x 8″\, $70\n24″ x 1″ x 8″\, $90\n\n\nFrames are an additional $25. The frame will be attached and unfinished. You will be able to choose your stain color at the class.\n\nClick here to purchase tickets \nWhat is included? \n\nThe sign size that you choose will be made of pressure treated plywood that will be sanded and primed for you. This will stand up to the elements. The plywood will be custom cut for your specific dimensions.\nThere will be 4 pilot holes drilled\, one in each corner so you can hang your sign. If you would like a different configuration for hanging\, please let us know.\nYOU WILL BRING IN YOUR OWN HOUSE NUMBERS . You are responsible for bringing in your own house numbers so that you can choose the font and color for yourself before the workshop.\nGrout\, sealer and “how to” instructions will be included. Grouting will not be done at the class since your adhesive has to dry. You can choose from white\, tan\, gray or black grout.\n\nOther Info \n\nYou are welcome to bring in any embellishments like the starfish and turtle shown in the picture. These are not included.
