DESCRIPTION:Join Gloria at ABAM for a 2-day pottery workshop to make a ceramic chip & dip platte on Thursday\, 4/10 and 4/24!\n\n\nThis workshop occurs on two days: \n\nThursday\, 4/10 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and\nThursday\, 4/24 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm\n\nDay 1 of this course will cover a basic introduction to slab building to construct a slab hand built piece\, using a mid-fire clay body (firing to cone 5-6). Students will be able add Decorative techniques using stamps\, cookie cutters\, and texture lace will be provided to use in the design. Students may also bring their own decorative tools\, including but not limited to cookie cutters\, lace etc.\, to create a personalized piece. \nThe second day of this course will take place two weeks later to allow drying and bisque fired prior to glazing. During the second day\, the student will glaze their piece using premixed coyote\, amaco or mayco glazes supplied by Gloria. \nThe pieces will then be kiln fired by the instructor and then the students will be called once the pieces are available to pick up at the store\, within 1-2 weeks after glazing (the second day). \nStudents will develop a basic foundation in ceramic arts geared towards beginner through advanced skill level. She also teaches watercolor through community education at Fletcher High School. DESCRIPTION:Join Gloria at ABAM for a 2-day pottery workshop to make a ceramic chip & dip platter on Sunday\, 3/2 and 3/16!\n\n\nThis workshop occurs on two days: \n\nSunday\, 3/2 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and\nSunday\, 3/16 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm\n\nDay 1 of this course will cover a basic introduction to slab building to construct a slab hand built piece\, using a mid-fire clay body (firing to cone 5-6). Students will be able add Decorative techniques using stamps\, cookie cutters\, and texture lace will be provided to use in the design. Students may also bring their own decorative tools\, including but not limited to cookie cutters\, lace etc.\, to create a personalized piece. \nThe second day of this course will take place two weeks later to allow drying and bisque fired prior to glazing. During the second day\, the student will glaze their piece using premixed coyote\, amaco or mayco glazes supplied by Gloria. \nThe pieces will then be kiln fired by the instructor and then the students will be called once the pieces are available to pick up at the store\, within 1-2 weeks after glazing (the second day). \nStudents will develop a basic foundation in ceramic arts geared towards beginner through advanced skill level. DESCRIPTION:Join artist/potter\, Tim Bullard for a 2-day Horse Hair Raku Workshop Monday\, 3/10 & 3/24 from 3:30pm-5pm!\n\n\nThis workshop will occur on two days: \n– Monday\, March 10th from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm\, and \n– Monday\, March 24th from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. \nIn this three day workshop\, students will create clay pieces the first class (3/10) and RAKU fire 🔥 on 2nd class (3/24). \nIn the first day of this workshop\, participants will create hand built and/or wheel thrown vases (2 or 3). Then\, the pieces will be coated with slip (terra stig) and burnished. At the end of day one\, Tim will take the pieces with him to be bisque fired and bring them back to the store. DESCRIPTION:Join Gloria at ABAM for a 2-day pottery workshop to make a ceramic chip & dip platter on Sunday\, 3/2 and 3/16!\n\n\nThis workshop occurs on two days: \n\nSunday\, 3/2 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and\nSunday\, 3/16 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm\n\nDay 1 of this course will cover a basic introduction to slab building to construct a slab hand built piece\, using a mid-fire clay body (firing to cone 5-6). Students will be able add Decorative techniques using stamps\, cookie cutters\, and texture lace will be provided to use in the design. Students may also bring their own decorative tools\, including but not limited to cookie cutters\, lace etc.\, to create a personalized piece. \nThe second day of this course will take place two weeks later to allow drying and bisque fired prior to glazing. During the second day\, the student will glaze their piece using premixed coyote\, amaco or mayco glazes supplied by Gloria. \nThe pieces will then be kiln fired by the instructor and then the students will be called once the pieces are available to pick up at the store\, within 1-2 weeks after glazing (the second day). \nStudents will develop a basic foundation in ceramic arts geared towards beginner through advanced skill level. Her previous career was as an art director in New York City. She has been working in watercolors for years. As a member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society\, Roseann has won many awards. \nRoseann was most recently the Artist in Residence for the Arts in Medicine Program at U F Health (Shands) Hospital in Jacksonville. Previously Roseann was the Art Teacher for grades K-12 at Mainspring Academy\, and Collage School in Ponte Vedra\, both schools for students with autism and special needs. She also teaches watercolor through community education at Fletcher High School. Roseann has also demonstrated at the Cummer Museum in Jacksonville\, and has been a recipient of the Jacksonville Community Foundation Grant for Individual Artists. Her work has appeared on the cover of New Smyrna Magazine.
