Her previous career was as an art director in New York City. She has been working in watercolors for years. As a member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society\, Roseann has won many awards. \nRoseann was most recently the Artist in Residence for the Arts in Medicine Program at U F Health (Shands) Hospital in Jacksonville. Previously Roseann was the Art Teacher for grades K-12 at Mainspring Academy\, and Collage School in Ponte Vedra\, both schools for students with autism and special needs. She also teaches watercolor through community education at Fletcher High School. Roseann has also demonstrated at the Cummer Museum in Jacksonville\, and has been a recipient of the Jacksonville Community Foundation Grant for Individual Artists. Her work has appeared on the cover of New Smyrna Magazine. The frame will be attached and unfinished. You will be able to choose your stain color at the class.\n\nWhat is included? \n\nThe sign size that you choose will be made of pressure treated plywood that will be sanded and primed for you. This will stand up to the elements. The plywood will be custom cut for your specific dimensions.\nThere will be 4 pilot holes drilled\, one in each corner so you can hang your sign. If you would like a different configuration for hanging\, please let us know.\nYOU WILL BRING IN YOUR OWN HOUSE NUMBERS . You are responsible for bringing in your own house numbers so that you can choose the font and color for yourself before the workshop.\nGrout\, sealer and “how to” instructions will be included. Grouting will not be done at the class since your adhesive has to dry. DESCRIPTION:Have you held a desire to write a book\, but didn’t know where to start? Well\, then this author workshop is perfect for you!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin author\, Eileen Erikson\, on Saturday\, October 9th from 10am-12pmto learn the process of writing\, publishing\, and marketing a book from the author’s experiences. Erikson published her first book in 2003\, The Patients of a Saint\, followed by books for each of her grandchildren after each of their births\, which are now available at various stores and museums! Her website\, Grandbaby Books provides a great overview of each of her books\, as well as more information about the illustrators of her books. \nNote pads and pens will be provided to each participants to take notes throughout the workshop. The cost for the workshop is $25 per participant\, which will also include a book of choice for each participants. \nClick here to purchase tickets. \nThe goal of this workshop is for local author\, Eileen Erikson\, to share her experiences in order to navigate the class to implement their own endeavors in the writing field. \n  \nSocial distancing and disinfection practices will be implemented in the store and in the classroom to ensure participants’ health and safety. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Author: \nEileen Erikson\, wife\, mother\, grandmother\, nurse and author just completed her final story about her grandchildren and if God provides more grandchildren\, will certainly do her best to write about them. Eileen wrote The Patients Of A Saint\, A Nurse’s Story which was published in 2003. Since the grandchildren arrived\, her passion reflects their stories. Kamille’s Birthday Circus\, Up In Nathanael’s Room and Connor’s First Safari\, have been in various book stores including the Cummer Museum\, Museum of Contemporary Art 2MOCA)\, and libraries in Ohio\, Texas and Jacksonville. Kamille’s Birthday Circus was part of a hurricane special on one of Jacksonville’s local networks. Up In Nathanael’s Room was the chosen book for Must Ado About Books in 2009 and The Amelia Island Book Fest 2017. Connor’s First Safari has been purchased for the Discovery Zone at the Jacksonville Zoo. Students will: \n\nChoose the size of the stone\nLearn to solder the bezel and bail onto the back plate\nLearn to mount the stone\nStamp the metal with their initials and the sterling mark\n\nA 24” chain will be provided to each student\, making the necklace ready to wear at the end of the class! It is a fun class for you and your friends to take to create similar but distinctly different pendants. \nEverything you need in the workshop will be supplied in the cost of the class. \nPlease come equipped with glasses/reading glasses if you need them.
