DESCRIPTION:Join Chelsea at ABAM for a 2-day Ceramic Dog Workshop on Sunday\, 4/26 and 5/10!\n\n\n\nIn this workshop students will create decorative hand-built pieces using the various methods. \nThis workshop occurs on two days\, two weeks apart: \n\nSunday\, April 29th from 10am-12pm &\nSunday\, May 10th from 9am-12pm\n\nIn DAY ONE of the workshop\, students will make a ceramic dog with instructor assistance\, as needed. SUMMARY:2-Day Pottery Workshop: Hanging Jellyfish (Day 2 of 2)
DESCRIPTION:Join Gloria at ABAM for a 2-day pottery workshop to make a jellyfish on Sunday \, 4/19 and 5/10! \n\n\n\n\nStudents will develop a basic foundation in ceramic arts geared towards beginner through advanced skill level. Students can anticipate this course to be an introduction to the medium and guidance to create a finished product. \nThis workshop occurs on two days\, two weeks apart: \n\nSuday\, 4/19 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and\nSunday\, 5/10 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm\n\nDay 1 of this course will cover a basic introduction to slab building to construct a slab hand built jellyfish \, using a mid-fire clay body (firing to cone 5-6). Students will be able add Decorative techniques using stamps\, cookie cutters\, and texture lace will be provided to use in the design. Students may also bring their own decorative tools\, including but not limited to cookie cutters\, lace etc.\, to create a jellyfish. Students will have the opportunity to make 2-3 jellyfish\, as time permits. \nThe second day of this course will take place two weeks later to allow drying and bisque fired prior to glazing. During the second day\, the student will glaze their piece using premixed coyote\, amaco or mayco glazes supplied by Gloria. \nThe pieces will then be kiln fired by the instructor and then the students will be called once the pieces are available to pick up at the store\, within 1-2 weeks after glazing (the second day). \nTicket Cost*: $65\, materials and supplies (clay\, glazing\, pottery tools\, & decorative tools) included. \nClick here to purchase tickets \nInstructor: Gloria Moore (@glomopottery) \nThe students will leave the course with an understanding of clay as a medium\, and an understanding of the hand building technique. \n*Ticket cost includes 2-day course\, approximately four hours total. \n\n\n\n\nSome example images to show what students can make in this workshop: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n*** NOTICE *** \nClass tickets are only refundable if the refund is requested before the date of the purchased class.
