Tree of Life on a Rock Workshop

May 18, 2024 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$65

The tree of life design is known to have its origin dating back to 7000 BC in Turkey. However, themes associated with tree of life, wisdom and immortality, are connected to other ancient cultures including Jewish tradition. Even today, it remains as one of the most sought after designs representing harmony and balance in nature, rebirth and a connection between the earthly and the spiritual to name few.

In this class, participants will create a metal wire tree of life on the face of a colored cabochon stone to take home. Once finished, it can be strung on a chain of cord to wear as a pendant or as a decorative piece by itself. Through the process of completing this project, they will learn the names and use of basic hand tools, wire manipulation, attaching one wire to another, bending and twisting wires effectively to create an artful tree of life while securely capturing a cabochon stone in place.

While this class requires no previous experience, it is suitable for anyone with various levels of skills. Following brief illustrations and demonstrations by the instructor, everyone will be actively engaged in completing the project with ample assistance and supervision.
All materials will be provided along with sets of hand tools for use in the class.

Tickets: $65 per participant
