Watercolor Pet Portrait Workshop with Linda Hawkins

This fun 2 1/2-hour class will cover fundamental watercolor techniques and you will leave with an original portrait of your best friend, whether it is a dog, cat, bird, or reptile. You can create a custom portrait of your pet even if you’ve never painted, haven’t painted since you were a kid or are a beginner. You will learn painting techniques like color mixing, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry & more. No painting or drawing experience is required. Linda will show you how to transfer your photo onto the watercolor paper making it easy to get a great likeness of your pet. Then she will guide you, helping define the right colors, showing you how to mix them, when to work wet or dry. Then helping you to put the final touches on your original pet portrait.

Please bring a really good headshot of your pet sized to fit an 8” x 10” size watercolor sheet. Be sure to give some space around the image, so your pet has room to breathe!
